Since we didn’t have anything special going on today, we headed back up to Laguna to do a hike. Even though it was sunny and the temps were in the low 50s, the wind was almost constant. Gusts around 25mph, so that made it chilly. Kept us moving quickly 🙂
We did the Sunset Trail & Big Laguna Trail. We messed up on the BLT and missed a leg, but now we have an excuse to go back. Similar to yesterday’s hike, we were at 5,500ish elevation. Maybe it’s the lack of O2 but the air seems crisper, fresher. I love it.
About 4hrs and 7ish miles.
cool looking downed tree
Sam is apparently part water dog. He loves the water. He doesn’t wait for an invitation to go in. He jumped right in. This is his guilty look.
this is Little Laguna Lake. it was very pretty. and very blue
yes, that is a handmade crocheted ear warmer
I was looking for the camera. Since there’s a photo of me looking for the camera… the camera was not with me

pretty cool looking acorns. almost look like seashells
if you look closely, you can see downtown San Diego. That finger of land that sharply ends is Cabrillo/Point Loma. Downtown is in front of it. And yes! All that blue beyond the land is the ocean.
More tree photos? Yes! We’ve noticed lots of holes in some of these pines before. Today we looked a little closer. Look closely, do you see it yet?
All those holes are now filled with acorns! Some critter is really smart!
this is a sample acorn
