A Day at Dog Beach

No hiking or biking today. It was all about dog beach!
People must still be on holiday because there were lots of dogs and people.

Scout loves dog beaches and dog parks. We always keep a close eye on them, but we trust Scout. Big dogs, little dogs, people, kids … no worries. He’s a happy laid back guy. If he approaches a dog and they snap at/warn him to back away he just gives them the “oh, ok! You don’t want to play? That’s cool, I’ll move on Dude” look.

Sam, on the other hand, we are still getting a feel for him. Sometimes he’s very verbal when he plays. Honestly, I was nervous when I saw all the dogs and people. But … positive thinking. I was positive that all was going to go well. And boy did it!

They had an awesome time!

There was some drama at the dog wash afterwards. There are big built in steps that lead up to the tubs. Scout has to wait on them until Sam’s bath is done. Most times he just curls up and falls a sleep. But sometimes he refuses to lay down and leans against the wall. And head bobs. Today he head bobbed too many times and feel off the step. Poor guy. I really felt bad for him. But no worries, he was back up on the step and sleeping in no time.

The other drama … boo! Sam drank too much ocean water. Apparently ocean water and excitement causes explosive poop. Luckily I was just finishing up Scout when Mike came back in with Sam for the rear end detail package.

This was only half the beach. It was this populated on the other half too.

    • San Diego really has some nice doggie perks! They play so hard and for so long … we have to make them leave. Then they are like tired grumpy kids that need naps but refuse to fall a sleep. It’s funny!

Thoughts?!?
