tres amigas visit cave creek

Cave Creek was established as a gold mining town and stopping point for the U.S. Cavalry in the mid 1870s. While most of the buildings built in the 1800s are probably gone, many that are standing have been there longer than anyone can remember and are reminiscent of what things looked like in the Wild West so long ago.

Gail, Carrie, and I had a blast walking thru all the shops in Cave Creek. Not sure the shop owners appreciated our sometimes over happiness! I played the part of a camera happy tourist. Lots of photos follow…

  1. AH-MAZ-ING!!! You have saved me a lot of gas money, and probably a pocketful of cash, by posting all these fab photos!! I saw at least three things I don’t think I can live without…now I just have to resist a trip ;-D LOVE all the quirky art, I laughed hard at the tee’s, and several other things (you will know of which I speak, I’m sure…), and thoroughly enjoyed the vicarious tour! What an outing! From the sublime to the ridiculous, you three capture all the fun of a girl’s day together! Thanks for sharing all these pix, I feel like I BEEN there now ;-D You have a good eye for shots, BTW…

    • as always, Candy you leave the nicest comment! We had a great time. And I’m glad I don’t have room for anything extra in the Airstream. Well only room for something small … a cactus back scratcher that Gail gave me to remember our day. We quickly named it “Carrie the Cactus”. Sometimes prickly, but always makes you feel good 😉

  2. I had a TERRIFIC time with both you and Carrie, I’m sure I speak for us both when I say I can hardly wait till all of you (two and four-legged) get back here so we can make some more wonderful memories.
I am quite certain we will be making a few San Diego trips in our lifetime as well. 🙂

Thoughts?!?
