last week we did a little hiking on the rubicon trail. that is until we realized that dogs aren’t allowed on it. oops! i wonder if summer rules apply in the winter. we only saw one group of people of the trail. like i’ve been saying all along, it’s like we’ve had the lake and trails to ourselves this month. it’s been wonderful!
loving the light colored wedges in the tree piece
huge boulders right off the trail
looks like this could be a dinosaur bone
wow! the photos really don’t do the lake justice. the color of the water is spectacular
oops! those rules only apply during the summer, right? scout does love to dig in the sand. we have to fill the holes afterwards … a small child could disappear in them!
the water is so clear. and the bottom is sand and rocks. makes you want to jump in
view of the beach we were just on from the rubicon trial
the trail was great. i can see why no dogs are allowed. i’m sure it’s super busy during the summer and there are spots where the trail narrows quite a bit. sam’s saying, “come on. let’s go!”
the only people we passed on the trail was a family of four. they asked if we could take their photo. got them to snap one of us too. no color editing of this photo. the lake really is that blue
sam and his twin, odie, ready for a power nap 🙂
