we didn’t know exactly where we were going to stay, but we knew there were a couple of forest roads within the dixie national forest that allowed dispersed camping. this is when two vehicles come in handy. we parked the airstream at the visitor center, then took off in the other truck to scout out a good location
we found a fantastic spot off FR117. mike quickly named the location “antelope ridge” due to the massive amounts of antelope around us. very creative he is 😉 added bonus: great solar and 3G reception 🙂
initially we thought the spot was big enough to make a u-turn, but it wasn’t. i got to practice my 12 point turn. but once we got set up, it was a great site. i’m going to say that this is my favorite so far!
