adventures of 2 humans & 2 dogs as they tumble along in a 1971 21' airstream

from phoenix to santa barabara

mid May 2014
i got back to phoenix from nc around mid may. we had to be on orcas island on june 15, so we had to pack up and head out quickly. as always, it was great hanging out with gail and her family. mike stayed with them while i was back east. our west coast family is starting to grow!

what a perfect spot for visiting rv’ers. they even made us a brick patio. thank you!

the best part about towing your house, is that you can stop for lunch and bathroom breaks wherever you’d like. we like long dusty road, with no people. no rest stops for us!RanchoOso03

going west. right into the setting sun
RanchoOso04

a quick stopover at the thousand trails in palm desert. we’ve stayed there several times. it’s a really nice place. lots of sites, people are quiet, and the facilities are spotless.RanchoOso05

love to see the sunset on one sideRanchoOso06

and moonrise on the other. both of the photos were taken while waiting for the traffic light to turn green. i’ve got to admit, i am missing california a little. RanchoOso07

up early the next morning for a quick walk. dog training = dogs off leash, walking beside the road, but staying on the grass. real life!RanchoOso08

pretty sunrise thru the palmsRanchoOso09
