a great thing about catching up on blog posts is that i get to relive our experiences. we’ve been on orcas island camp hosting since june 15th. i’ve got to admit, i’m starting to get the itch to travel. currently we are planning on staying thru next spring, we’ve found a fantastic place to rent. there’s lots of places to see near here, so i’m hoping weekly adventures will cure the itch!

after being in the desert, the first agenda … dog beach!
it’s nice that they have a dog wash right in the beach parking lot. it was a tad too expensive for us. we used our free water back at the house when we got home:-)
the beach trip was successful!
a little ride thru downtown santa barbara. it was cute, but really hot so we didn’t get out and walk
but we did stop for some cool beverages. thanks oprah for the little inspirations

while we were out on the coast, we drove down to san juan capistrano. cute little town. i like it much better than santa barbara
what a colorful toy selection! i should have let the boys in to pick out a favorite, but they were still passed out in the car

there was discussion on the proper usage/sharing of the center console. i’m pretty sure this is the correct way
we couldn’t get back to the campground because the road is closed for the 5th stage of the 9th annual amgen tour of california professional cycling race. at first i thought it was motorcycles, but then the road bikes came by
