our last day in the islands was spent on lopez, the island where everyone waves. i actually think that’s very nice and friendly. we had a fantastic day with two lovely ladies. playing, exploring, and baking. warning: lots of photos follow!
the view of mount baker never disappoints. it hardly looks real
meet lula! she and sam secretly love each other but the refuse to show it. they’ve played a couple of times together and each time they sort of ignore each other for the first hour or so. then they will chase it other around. shy sweeties 😀
shannon and lula have a huge fenced in area behind their house. lots of places to explore
and stick fetching
lula has springs in her legs! got to get sam practicing his jumps
while lula and sam sort of played together. scout was working the fence line. looking for critters to harass
hey lula did you find something?
fantastic! booties in the air. nose in the dirt!
scout still looking for tiny critters
mike messing with the camera. i’m hugging him, not choking him
more fun on the big marshmallow hay rounds
it’s always funny when they stand together, but you can’t see each of them. this is the two bootie sam
look at that tongue!
after walking around the field, we headed out to iceberg point. wow! it was beautiful
the three stinkers
scones! lots of scones. with lots of chocolate chips. thank you shannon for teaching me how to make the perfect scone! and for making our last day a fantastic one.
